Car Warning lights and what they may mean

Car Warning Lights And What They Mean

What Your Dashboard Lights Mean We've all been there: you notice a symbol light up on your dashboard and then the anxiety begins. What does it mean? How serious is it? What do I do next? Don't worry! We got you covered. Let's go over some the most common symbols and discover what they mean and find out when you'll need to visit our service center. Symbols and their meanings: Anti-lock brake warning light: If the anti-lock braking system or ABS lights up, there is a fault in the braking system. The purpose of anti-lock brakes is to maintain control and balance between the vehicle and the road. So, it is important that the problem is diagnosed as soon as possible when the ABS lights come on. Battery alert: This symbol means that there is a problem with the vehicle's charging system. You will be surprised to learn that often the main cause of a battery warning light is not the battery, but something else that triggered it, whether it's a faulty alternator or something else. Either way, it's best to visit our dealership ASAP to ensure you don't end up stranded somewhere. Engine warning: Your check engine light can appear for a number of reasons. First, it can be something serious that can cause you to pull over right away, such as overheating of the vehicle engine or low oil pressure. On the flip side, it can occur if the fuel cap is not securely attached or if it has a crack that allows fuel to evaporate. It should be something service techs can easily diagnose pretty quickly, so it's smart to stop by a service center. Low fuel indicator: If you have been driving for a long time, you should know this symbol. This is a sign that you are running out of gas. If you run out of fuel, don't ignore it. Instead, stop at a nearby gas station and refuel so you can reach your destination without worrying about running out of fuel or gasoline. Oil pressure light: When the oil pressure lamp comes on, it shows the image of an oil can with dripping oil. When you see this, you should schedule an oil change ASAP, because it means your vehicle is running dangerously low on oil. Without fresh oil, your car is at major risk of severe engine damage, so the sooner you can get it into a service center, the better. Traction control light: This light indicates that your vehicle's traction control system is activated. The traction indicator light uses the anti-lock braking system to determine if the wheels are spinning faster than normal, which can happen in rain or snowy weather. If your vehicle's traction control system is damaged, defective, or there is a sensor malfunction, this light will come on. This light can also appear if there are problems with a vehicle's ABS. It's best to let service technicians diagnose the issue. Conclusion Now that you know which light is on your dashboard, you know what kind of service you need to schedule! At Wyatt Johnson Volkswagen, our expert service technicians are always here to help, whether it's with our state-of-the-art service center or being ready to save you big with our service specials. Clarksville Civitan International

The Clarksville Civitan Club Scavenger Hunt

When it comes to community service, not many are as impressive as the Clarksville Civitan Club. The Civitan Club does incredible work with 100 years of service and dedication to the Clarksville community. That’s one of the many reasons Wyatt Johnson has supported and sponsored the Clarksville Civitan. Our most recent involvement with the Clarksville Civitan Club was sponsoring their 2022 Scavenger Hunt at this year’s River Fest. The fundraiser offered a chance for participants to explore and discover local businesses, support their community, and of course, win a prize of $10,000 and $250 cash drawings, all for a great cause. That great cause is a scholarship worth $8,000 for one lucky Austin Peay State University student, with which the Civitan has a long-standing relationship, with many of their current members also being alumni of APSU. Aside from the Scavenger Hunt, The Clarksville Civitan also runs fundraisers that benefit the Civitan International Research Center. Located in Birmingham, Alabama, this center is responsible for a wide variety of successful research including into various disabilities, PTSD in veterans and abuse victims, as well as Parkinson's. The CIRC is also responsible for a leading brain cancer treatment using spider venom. The Clarksville Civitan has been a staple of the Clarksville community for years and we at Wyatt Johnson are proud to be a part of their mission. If you would like to learn more about how the Civitan helps communities all over the world, you can visit their website! The Clarksville Civitan has a lot in the works and we can’t wait to partner with them again soon!

2021 Volkswagen Jetta Vs. 2021 Hyundai Elantra

2021 Volkswagen Jetta Vs. 2021 Hyundai Elantra The 2021 Volkswagen Jetta and 2021 Hyundai Elantra offer plenty of passenger space and a variety of engine options from economical to sporty. The Jetta offers European sophistication and luxury along with a spacious cabin and excellent driving dynamics. In comparison, the Elantra offers everything from hybrid to track-specifically tuned variants. Here's a closer look at the two, across different parameters: Fuel Economy - The 2021 Jetta proves to be the less frugal of the two sedans, offering a combined fuel economy of 34 MPG. Buyers can expect the 2021 Elantra to deliver a combined figure of 37 MPG. Warranty - Hyundai scores better than Volkswagen (VW) in terms of both standard and powertrain warranties. Here are the figures for the two cars: Vehicle Standard Warranty Powertrain Warranty 2021 VW Jetta 4 years or 50,000 miles 5 years or 60,000 miles 2021 Hyundai Elantra 4 years or 50,000 miles 10 years or 100,000 miles Cargo Space - There’s virtually nothing to choose between available cargo volumes for the two sedans. While the Jetta offers 14.1 cubic feet, the Elantra is marginally better at 14.2 cubic feet. Updates for 2021 - The Jetta was updated for 2019, but there weren't many changes after that. Their trim levels have been updated a bit, with the S getting new 16-inch two-tone alloy wheels and the SE getting a 6-way driver's seat and contrasting stitching on the steering wheel and shifter. The MIB3 infotainment system is now standard on the SEL trim, while adaptive cruise control is now available on the GLI Autobahn. Compared to before, 2021 sees a completely new design of the Hyundai Elantra. The Elantra just keeps getting better as time goes by, offering strong standard equipment and a range of engines to choose from, all at a fair price. The N-Line with its 4-cylinder turbo is at the top of the range. Some improvements were also made in the interior. Trim Levels - Buyers will be able to choose from the following five trim levels of the 2021 VW Jetta: SE S SEL SEL Premium R-Line Relatively speaking, the 2021 Hyundai Elantra has lesser options, in terms of four trims- SEL, SE, N-Line, and Limited. Engine Options - The 2021 Jetta is available with a single engine and the 2021 Elantra offers two. Expect a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine producing 147 hp and 132 lbs.-ft of torque here, mated to either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission. There is one other engine available for GLI models, which is a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that produces 228 hp and 258 lbs.-ft of torque. Customers can choose either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission). Overall, the Jetta is very sophisticated and a lot of fun to drive. A hybrid option is also available for the 2021 Elantra. Interiors - Although the VW Jetta is a compact sedan, it offers plenty of space inside. The seats are very comfortable and high quality materials have been used. Elantra's sloping roofline doesn't restrict rear-seat headroom; The vehicle's facelift has increased leg and shoulder room in the rear seats.
